I'm receiving an Event log error saying the service
SERMOUSE isn't loading. Nothing installed that
corresponds to a mouse driver other than the standard
PS/2 with Microsoft. Anyone have any Ideas?

If you do not actually have a serial mouse, and only have a PS/2 mouse, there
are instructions at the link below for disabling the detection of serial mice
on startup of Windows:

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't
work. The only difference to the article provided is NT
4.0 instead of 3.5 . I have SP6 installed as well.
In the past I corrected the error my reinstalling the
O/S. I know there has to be a better way!
